Why Blog Posts and Pinterest are Great For Marketing Your Business

Why your website needs a blog section to increase page views to your site through Pinterest

Is your current Pinterest Marketing strategy currently falling flat? Not really seeing the results you were hoping for your business? Granted, there may be many factors that are resulting in less traffic than so many others claim to be receiving.

Perhaps you’re only in your first months of using the platform and need to wait out your growth period, or your pin design needs some work. If you’re not currently blogging for your service or digital product based business then creating some content could definitely give you the boost you’re looking for!

How, you ask?

Pinterest gives you a ton of cold traffic meaning the viewer doesn’t know you or your brand. They don’t trust you.

Think about when you purchase a product or service or even sign up for a newsletter, what makes you do this? Trust and connection. You enjoy the content or the individual and want more.

This means someone who simply lands on your homepage, a sales page to your course, or to a list of your services is unlikely to purchase. They won’t learn anything about YOU and they won’t see you for the amazing expert that you are. They’ll probably quickly close and move onto the next best thing without even giving you a chance.

Blogging or providing free, valuable content is what helps the viewer take a chance on you! Its what keeps them on your website and gives them time to learn how awesome you are. It builds trust and develops an idea of you being the expert that you are in your niche. Free content coverts viewers into clients and customers and the best way to achieve this is through a blog.

Pinterest also values new, original content so creating new links to different blog posts will help your profile. Pinterest is also more likely to show your content. If you’re constantly pinning to the same link you have a high chance of being suspended for spam. Its a win-win, really!

Don’t have time to take on another task?

It can be as simple as embedding your YouTube videos to a new page on your website or repurposing the content you have already created for your Instagram profile or your Facebook Live. Check out this post for easy ways to repurpose what you already have. Or it could be as easy as outsourcing this part of your business to an expert, like me! I repurpose your existing content (on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube) for your blog and link it to Pinterest to get you the traffic you need. This might also secretly be my favourite service!

Hello, I'm Megan!

An introvert at heart, Pinterest is the perfect platform for me. Simply posting your content using the right marketing strategies gets you an abundance of website traffic? No engagement or ‘showing up’ needed?

Who wouldn’t want to use this powerhouse of a platform …
