6 Pinterest business tools

Do you want to start your own Pinterest marketing business or use Pinterest to promote your own business? Whether you’re offering Pinterest business support or you’re adding Pinterest as a new marketing channel, it’s important to include the right tools in your plan. Here are 6 Pinterest business tools that will help manage your account and streamline your processes:

Design

Pinterest is first and foremost a visual platform. You need to create eye-catching pins that will appeal to your audience and get them to stop their scroll.

Canva is a fantastic user-friendly design tool to use to create pins. This resource is free to use, and there is a Pro version that will unlock access to more images and design elements. So, you can start with the free version and see if that meets your needs.

Pin Templates

Don’t have much faith in your creative design abilities? Not to worry! You can purchase Pin designs on Etsy. Simply load them to your Canva account and swap out certain elements and images for your own brand style.

This can save you a lot of time and effort!

Keyword Research

While Pinterest is about visuals, to get your audience to see your pins you’ve got to pay attention to your board descriptions, titles, and pin descriptions. This is where keyword research comes in.

Pinterest itself is a fantastic keyword research tool. In the search bar at the top of the website or phone app, type in words related to your niche, and keywords will automatically populate – these are the most popular searched terms and what you want to be using in your board titles, board descriptions, and pin descriptions.

You can dive deeper by using Pinterest Trends. Through this feature, you can explore different trends that are growing on the platform based on search volumes.

You can also sign up for a keyword search tool, such as KeySearch. This subscription will allow you to not only search for Pinterest keywords but also keywords for YouTube, Google, Etsy, eBay, Amazon, and more.

Tip: Never keyword stack in your pin and board descriptions. Instead, focus on the user experience and what’s going to be the most useful for them. This means well-thought-out sentences.

Social Media Scheduler

Pinterest allows you to schedule pins four weeks in advance, so you can just stick to the platform to schedule and post your content.

If you want more options, you can sign up for a scheduler tool like Tailwind, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.

A huge plus for using an alternative scheduling tool is that you can also add your other social media posts. For example, through Tailwind you can also schedule Instagram posts.

Social media management tools have analytics capabilities, too, which you can use in conjunction with Pinterest Analytics. It’s really important to assess your analytics to see what’s working and what’s not.

Watermark Remover

To be successful on Pinterest, incorporating video into your Pinterest business strategy is a must!

You or your clients may already use TikTok – you can just repurpose these videos. But first, you’ve got to remove any watermarks.

Take the links of your TikTok videos and plug them into Snap Tik. You can then upload the mp4 file to Canva for further design and then upload

Good To Know: TikTok created a new feature in 2023 that allows you to save your videos without the watermark in the app.

You can also download Instagram Reels through Save Insta.

Stock Image & Video Subscription

If you have Canva Pro, you’ll have access to a range of high-quality videos and images you can use for your pin designs.

However, there are a host of other stock image websites to add to your arsenal for pin designs. Pexels offers high-quality images for free. Styled Stock Society is a membership-based media website that’s made for women entrepreneurs so, their images and flatlays are on the feminine side.

If you want to be successful on Pinterest, it’s important to create a solid foundation. And this foundation includes the right tools! Take the time to bookmark and sign up for the above Pinterest business tools and find out more about our Pinterest Training to take things up a notch!
